… Wanna know HOW/WHY I know A LITTLE Latin, DESPITE my taking FOUR YEARS of SPANISH in high school?!
1) I am a CUNNING linguist.  I KNOW … MANY "pieces"/parts of SEVERAL languages:
English, Turkish, Spanish, German, Japanese, "Pig-latin" & Latin.
2) Almost EVERY medical-term has a LATIN base/root.  Since I'm a "Bio-MEDICAL Engineer", I KINDA know SUMTHIN' about the HUMAN-body.
3) Two of my GOOD BUDDIES--FOOLISHLY (SSSHHH!) took Latin--NOT Spanish--in high school.  Their KNOWLEDGE kinda "rubbed-off" on me.
4) MANY MATHEMATICAL-terms have LATIN-"roots"/bases.
(… 'mono-' = 1, 'bi-'/'di-' = 2, 'tri-' = 3, 'quad' = 4, 'quint' = 5, 'hex-' = 6, 'sept-' = 7, 'oct-' = 8, '
cent-' = 100, 'mil-' = 1000, etc.)
