Let's Learn a Lot of Life-Lessons!

"Alliteration aside."
(--Peter LaFleur, 'Dodgeball')

In honor of "Good Friday",
(… Is THAT today's HOLIDAY?!  … As a NON-religious man, I--HONESTLY--doN'T know.)
let's ALL "pause & REFLECT upon" our--RESPECTIVE--"DOs & DON'Ts":

  1. Always maintain a good sense of humor.
  2. Never be too good to start at the bottom.
  3. Exercise every single day, even when you don't feel like it.
  4. Don't spend more money than you make.
  5. Drink orange juice every day.
  6. Love at first sight is not a fable.
  7. Having a bad job is better than having no job at all.
  8. Eat around the mold; don't go wasting food.
  9. Your family is the most precious thing you will ever have in life.
  10. Eat sausage every day - it worked for me.
  11. Your life is delicate, and if you neglect yourself, you'll spoil. That's what cheese taught me.
  12. Don't ever be afraid to be your true self.
  13. Everyone has too many clothes. Wear what you have and quit buying more.
  14. You must be able to forgive, even if it's difficult to do.
  15. Save your money now and spend it later.
  16. Love is not always easy; sometimes you have to work at it.
  17. Find something comical in every single situation.
  18. If you're faced with a problem, don't delay trying to figure it out. But if there's no way to figure it out, you have to forget about it.
  19. Make sure you're doing what you love; don't be afraid to follow those dreams you have for yourself.
  20. Education is important, but not necessary. Life can be an education in itself.
  21. Explore your world and stay curious.
  22. Try not to take yourself so seriously.
  23. My full name is William Bradford James Anderson, and my initials always remind me to ask myself, "Why be just anybody?"
  24. Have common sense. Think about the most reasonable answer to every situation. If you don't have common sense, you're a bust.
  25. Life is a gift that you must unwrap. It's up to you to determine if what's inside will lead you to happiness or dismay. You have the power to make that decision for yourself.

I can ESPECIALLY "connect" to
#s 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24 & 25.

(… Ergo, 'tis a GREAT list of "LIFE-checks" to be
PSYCHOLOGICALLY-"sound"/-stable.)

(… What he said!)

So, while watching 'X-Men: The Last Stand', I agreed with Professor Xavier on a FEW quotes that pertained to ME.

(Regarding whether I would WALLOW in SELF-pity OR strive for continued SELF-improvement--SOMETIMES at the EXPENSE of those for whom I CARE.)
Professor X to Wolverine: "I had a TERRIBLE choice to make!
I chose the LESSER of two EVILS."

Professor X to a YOUNG Jean Grey (ME): "You are more POWERFUL than you can IMAGINE.

The question IS: Will YOU control IT, or will IT control YOU?"

… I shaN'T be a "SLAVE" to my EMOTIONS/PSYCHE!
I'm ALMOST positive that "slavery" was ABOLISHED in … EVERYWHERE.
(… AAAHHH, sarcasm … of the LITERAL-interpretation … is ironically/strangely HILARIOUS!)

"You don't wrestle because it's easy, you wrestle because it's

hard. I don't do astrophysics because it's easy, I do it,

because it's hard."

(--FORMER Harvard-wrestler & CURRENT astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson)
(… Only substitute "NEUROLOGICALLY/PSYCHOLOGICALLY & PHYSICALLY rehabilitate" for "wrestle".)
(… Although, BOTH "word-/phrase-options" would apply to/for ME.)
(… ALSO, use "REHABILITATE" rather than "astrophysics".)

ALAS!
(SIGH)
"Apparently, LIFE is NOT a 'wish-GRANTING factory'.

"Some 'INFINITIES' are BIGGER than OTHERS.

So, there are DIFFERENT levels of 'INFINITY'."
(--CANCEROUS Hazel, 'The Fault in Our Stars')

(… Mathematically-speaking, that's … DEEP.)

((… 'Por ejemplo'(--Spanish for 'For example'):
I've waited "INFINITELY"-LONG for my ASSORTED nerve-damage to RECUPERATE.
CONVERSELY, I have been "INFINITELY" longing/yearning for FEMALE-companionship.))

"I always thought I'd be SPECIAL--that I'd be REMEMBERED."
(--CANCEROUS Gus, 'The Fault in Our Stars')

(… This HEARTWARMING/DRAMATIC film REALLY makes me consider:
Having CANCER is FAR-WORSE than having a "Traumatic Brain-Injury"!
A "T.B.I." is MERELY an "INJURY"!  While "cancer" is a TERMINAL … DISEASE!)
_____________________________________________________
… Although, I am VERY/QUITE determined to be one of the VERY FEW patients to FULLY-RECOVER/-REHABILITATE from a SERIOUSLY "Traumatic Brain-Injury".
(… "EAT IT", legs!

In CONCLUSION,
it (METAPHORICALLY) "PAINS me" to QUOTE this "little TURD", but it's CERTAINLY a VALID/APPLICABLE point:
"It's how you 'RISE' from a 'FALL' that TRULY defines you as a man."
(--Justin Bieber)
(… Albeit, said "TURD" said this after he was VERY COMICALLY "roasted" on 'Comedy Central'.)
